Thank you to The Rousseau Home and School Association for hosting a free pancake breakfast for students tomorrow morning.
This Monday, we will be having a math test on multiplication concepts learned in class. Jump Math workbooks were sent home today so students may review their work if they would like to.
As indicated in the agendas, this upcoming Monday is the final day to bring in our Secret Snowman gift exchange. If you could send in your child’s gift, wrapped creatively, by this Monday…..that would be wonderful. Thank you!
It’s awesome! Its secret snowman! It’s where you buy gifts for people in your class and you have to keep the person a secret! The wrapping of the gift will be looked at for creativity and uniqueness! Each gift should be a minimum of $5 and should be brought into school no later than Monday, December 19th please, wrapped and ready to go! Get ready to melt your secret snowman identity with your creativity and gifts!

As part of our visual arts lesson yesterday, students were given the opportunity to create wreaths as a group to sell as part of the Home and School Association Christmas Fundraiser. You may want to come and take a look at your child’s creation and support our school in the process….
Last Wednesday, 4/5L hosted their fundraiser for the Juravinski Foundation – Tomorrow Stems From You. All the Rousseau classes visited our arcade and it was a huge success! We raised $320.00! We couldn’t have been more pleased about this! Then to our surprise, an anonymous donor came forward to MATCH our funds and we now have $640.00 to present to a representative from Juravinski.
The students were able to see how a project was able to come to completion with much success and the impact a class of students can make on our community. Thank you to everyone who sent in donations and of course to our generous donor.
Aside from all the writing we did about our project, posters, announcements, invitations, fun pass design, measuring the dimensions, counting $, researching charities, presenting persuasive information, summarizing information about the Juravinski Foundation……we have been busy!
